For now, Android phones that can run Android 13 are limited to recent Pixel models, including: Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5A, Pixel 6, Pixel 6A, and Pixel 6 Pro.
The latest version of the OS is also coming to other Android phones soon, such as HMD (Nokia phones), Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi, Asus, Tecno, Sharp, Oppo, Motorola, Vivo, Sony, Realme, OnePlus, iQOO. , and more.
According to Android developers, you can check and update your Android version to receive Android 13 over the air if you are using a Google Pixel compatible device.
You do not need to factory reset your device to update to Android 13, and it is highly recommended that you do so before installing Android 13 on your device. However, it is necessary to backup your data before installing Android 13.

How to download Android 13
Before installing the newer operating system, it is recommended to first perform this process when you have a reliable Internet connection that can support the download.
Second, it is important to note that installing a new system on your device will consume storage space. It is highly recommended to ensure that your device has enough storage to download and install the update, or else you will not be able to continue. Typically, the size of the update file is a few gigabytes.
Third, it is also recommended that users have at least 50 percent battery life for a smooth transition and operation to Android 13.
According to CNET, to download, launch the Settings app on your device for the installation process to begin.
Next, go to the bottom of the page and select System, then navigate to find System Update and select it. On some devices, there may be a notification that the update is already available.
If that’s the case, you can tap on it and you should see it load in the next few seconds. However, if your device does not have such a message, simply select the Check for update option.
After doing that, you need to tap on the green button that says “Download and Install” at the bottom right.
Subsequently, the process of downloading and installing the Android 13 operating system will begin, which may take between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of your phone and its current state.
When the installation is complete, you’ll be running Android 13 as soon as your phone completes its reboot.
