In Dead Reckoning Part 1, believed to be the first of a two-part finale, Ethan Hunt and his IMF team “embark on their most dangerous mission yet: tracking down a terrifying new weapon that threatens the entire humanity before it falls into the wrong hands,” according to the official synopsis.

Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 is two hours and 36 minutes (156 minutes) long, making it the longest film in the franchise.
This is still a considerable length, but it’s shorter than previously rumored. Paramount president Bob Bakish previously said he had “seen a lot” of M:I7, and while audiences for the test screening “lost their minds,” it was “too long” and needed to be thinned out.
