Samsung’s latest in-ear headphones, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, are an ambitious update packed with smart tech with plenty to experience. In our reviews, we loved the new, lighter design, audio and ANC improvements, but found features like head tracking for 360 Audio to be lacking. However, if you’re a big Samsung fan, it’s worth checking out.
if you have recently booked or you picked up the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and started working with its impressive set of features, you may have encountered some minor bugs or responsiveness issues. The best way to deal with these issues is to reset the headphones. There are a couple of different ways to do this, and they’re worth trying to see if a reboot fixes the problem. This is what you must do!
Quickly restart the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
This is the first option you should try. It’s super quick and easy, and can help get rid of any stuttering or unresponsive commands you might be experiencing. For this step, your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro should already be set up and successfully paired with your device of choice.
Step 1: Take the Buds 2 Pro out of your ears and place them in the charging case. Close the cover of the charging case.

Step 2: Wait at least 7 seconds, preferably a little longer.
Step 3: Remove the earbuds from the charging case. If you leave the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in the case for so long, they will automatically restart when you take them out again. They should automatically reconnect to the nearby device you were using. Put them back in your ears and see if the issues are resolved.
Factory Reset Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
If a basic reset doesn’t work, you can also choose to completely factory reset the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
Step 1: With the headphones nearby, open the wearable galaxy app on your mobile device. If you’re not using a Galaxy phone or any Android phone, you can follow similar steps on an iPhone using the Galaxy Buds app.
Step 2: In the app, find and select the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earphones section.
Step 3: Find the configuration options. This can vary a bit depending on the app and version you’re using. look for a Headphone configuration either General option to choose.

Step 4: Select the reboot option, which should be Restart either reset headphones. Confirm that you want to hard reset your Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.

Step 5: Now, you will need to pair your headphones with your mobile device again, setting them up as if they were new. Once out of the case, the app should detect the earbuds and ask if you want to set them up. The Wearable app also has a Connect new equipment option under the More options three-dot icon that you can use to force the process.
All your settings will have returned to their default states. If you had set preferences or audio settings, you will need to do them again after the reboot.

Re-dock a single Galaxy Bud 2 Pro earbud
Sometimes it’s just one earbud that’s giving you problems, like not syncing properly or not providing any audio. If this happens, always start by making sure both earbuds are properly charged and one side doesn’t lose battery charge faster. If that doesn’t fix the problem, you should try pairing the headphones again. That is how.
Step 1: Look for the battery indicator light on the troublesome headset. If it does not connect successfully, it will flash red. That’s a sign that you need to re-pair the two earphones before using them. If you have locked touch controls on your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro before, you will need to visit the app and enable touch controls again.
Step 2: Put your earphones in the charging case. If they are already there, take them out and put them back.
Step 3: Using two fingers, tap and hold the touchpad on both earbuds. Wait 7 seconds or until the indicator light flashes green. This is a sign that the headphones have been properly paired. Now you can take them out and try to use them again. They should be in sync now. If a headset still doesn’t work, try our reset option above.
