Mohit Sharma seemed downcast after the heartbreaking defeat, recently speaking about how he felt after the pinnacle match ended in defeat.
“I could not sleep. Sochta raha kya alag karta joh party jeet jaate. What if he could have thrown this ball or that ball? It’s not a nice feeling right now. Somewhere something is missing, but I’m trying to move on.” Mohit Sharma told Indian Express.

“I had practiced such situations” – Mohit Sharma
GT Pacer Mohit Sharma also discussed his strategy before kicking off the final. In his opinion, he trusted his instincts in the final because he had practiced these kinds of scenarios in network practice.
“My mind was very clear about what I wanted to do. In the networks, I had practiced such situations and have also been in such scenarios before. So I said let me bowl yorkers and I was backing my gut.” Mohit Sharma said.
Mohit Sharma later admitted that although Jadeja hit that ball, he still came back to repeat what he had done on the first four balls. He claimed that he wanted to throw that ideal yorker onto Jadeja’s toes.
“I ran and tried to bowl (yorker) again. I just wanted to focus and back myself up. All IPL I have done. The ball landed where it shouldn’t have and Jadeja grabbed the bat from her. I tried, I did the best I could.” Mohit Sharma said.

He bowled brilliantly in the match but it was not enough to prevent Gujarat from succumbing to a five wicket defeat. Jadeja helped his side win the IPL for the fifth time with a 15-run performance from just six balls, including a six and cap in the last two deliveries.
