Kevin Federline to Britney Spears: Approve my move to Hawaii ASAP or I’ll take you to court!

Remember a couple of weeks ago when we reported that Kevin Federline wants to move to Hawaii with Britney Spears’ kids?

Well, your goals haven’t changed.

But he still needs Britney to sign off before he can move his sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline, to another state.

Kevin is desperate to make solid plans and threatens to take Britney to court if she doesn’t get approval soon.

TMZ now reports that Kevin Federline has given Britney Spears a deadline to approve her intention to move to Hawaii with her children.

Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline are teenagers. An interstate move cannot be the sole decision of one parent.

However, if Britney refuses, or simply doesn’t respond, her ex-husband is prepared to take this to family court.

His lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, spoke directly to the tabloid about how things stand.

He reported that he has asked Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, to send a letter or email to confirm that Britney approves of Federline’s relocation to Hawaii.

That hasn’t happened. It’s not the same as a “no,” but it sure isn’t the “yes” that Federline and his wife expect to see.

Apparently Kevin Federline’s big plan is to make this big move on August 1st. That’s halfway between the summer solstice and the autumnal equinox, literally the middle of summer.

But before he can make that move, he has to line up all his ducks. That means, you know, finding a new place to live.

The work thing is already in the bag. His wife, Victoria Prince, has a job offer at a local university. The only reason they want to move there is because she can join her sports department.

Sean Preston is 17 years old. Jayden James is 16 years old. Moving shouldn’t be a big problem.

For one thing, their father has full legal custody and, his lawyer argues, de facto physical custody of both children.

Also, Sean will be a legal adult before the end of the summer. Asking on his behalf is more convenient, it seems.

However, Kaplan says he has not heard back from Britney’s lawyer.

So you’ve set a deadline of Friday, June 2.

If you don’t get an answer, and you hear a “yes”, plan to go to court and ask the family court to approve the move.

As we previously reported, it doesn’t appear Britney has any known objections to the move. Britney is hurt by the children’s current distance from her, but she’s (obviously) not trying to force the issue.

It’s possible she just wasn’t itching to sign, but she will by the deadline.

And it’s also possible that there’s something else going on that we just don’t know about. It may not even be as dramatic as Kaplan’s transparent bombast.
