There’s nothing like a June wedding, and this month the Hallmark Channel has a selection of all-new movies as part of its June Weddings programming event. One of the highlights of the event is love is greek to me starring Hallmark frequent flyer Torey DeVitto and Star Trek: Picard star Marina Sirtis.
Every once in a while, Hallmark Channel takes viewers to a beautiful place, and this time they head to Santorini to see the latest movie about a newly engaged couple and a very enthusiastic mother-in-law-to-be.

The plot of Love’s Greek to Me
This is the official synopsis of love is greek to me from Hallmark Channel: “Ilana (Torey DeVitto) and her Greek boyfriend Mike (Ioannis Tsimitselis) travel to Santorini for her sister Alex’s (Katerina Konstas) wedding, where everyone in the family immediately welcomes her with open arms. When Mike surprises Ilana asking her to marry him in the same lighthouse where her father proposed many years earlier, her well-meaning and overzealous mother Athena (Marina Sirtis) shifts into overdrive, excited to have another daughter, Ilana gets caught up in the vortex of Athena’s attempts to ‘help’, including shopping for a wedding dress for her future daughter-in-law and booking the church…even though Ilana and Mike aren’t rushing to set a date or plan to have a Big Greek Wedding As Alex’s big day draws near and preparations ramp up, Ilana grows uneasy about what the future holds for her and Mike, leading her to wonder if they’re really meant to be together or if the love is Greek to her.”
Cast of Love’s Greek to Me
Chicago Med Alumnus Torey DeVitto has been a fixture on the Hallmark Channel for a long time, most recently appearing on It was the night before Christmas. She is a passionate advocate and philanthropist, as well as a devoted yogi. Some of her memorable roles include Carrie in one tree hill and Melissa in pretty Little Liars.
Yannis Tsimitselis was born in Zurich, Switzerland, but grew up in Greece. He has had leading roles in several Greek series, including Mary Mary Mary, on a red background and Come to my house. In addition to her television and film work, she has also appeared in various stage productions, including Waiting for Godot and And from Izmir…Thessaloniki.
Marina Sirtis might be best known for her role as Counselor Deanna Troi on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard and in several star trek feature films and spin-offs, but has also appeared in various guest and recurring roles on shows like NCIS, Scandal, Without a trace and Grey’s Anatomy. He made his London West End debut in 2019 in the production of sublime dark.

love is greek to me is a Hallmark Channel Original Movie. Hallmark Channel is included in many cable TV packages, but if you’ve cut the cord, there are a few other options to help you watch.
