Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has confirmed a major crossover in its latest trailer.

The popular spinoff series began last year and follows Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Science Officer Spock (Ethan Peck) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) as they explore the galaxy on the USS Enterprise.

The series is scheduled to hit our screens on June 15, with the latest trailer taking fans into outer space for a taste of what’s to come.

Not only does it promise more of James T Kirk (Paul Wesley) in new episodes, the nearly two-minute trailer gives us a glimpse of a major crossover between the Star Trek universes.

The second series of Strange New Worlds will see a crossover with Star Trek: Lower Decks, as Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) and Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid) step aboard the Enterprise in an episode that will also feature in-world animation in alive. .

The special episode will be directed by Trekkie veteran Jonathan Frakes, best known for his portrayal of Commander William Riker on the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation and subsequent films and series.

A synopsis for the upcoming series shows off many more intergalactic adventures, saying, “The crew of the USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain Christopher Pike, faces increasingly dangerous challenges, explores uncharted territory, and encounters new forms of life and civilizations.

The future of Lower Decks has also been confirmed, with Season 4 expected to arrive “late summer” in the US, according to an announcement on startrek.com.

The next series of the hit animated show is set to show an unknown force threatening the galaxy.

News follows that Star Trek: Discovery will make its final journey during its fifth season, which is currently set to air in early 2024, after which the show will come to an end.
