armed fantasy takes place in the wild west of Londenium and follows a young man named Ingram who loses his grandfather. He is a Pathfinder, an adventurer who wields a weapon called an ARM, to fight enemies called Anomalies that infest Londenium.
The game is a turn-based RPG in which characters can take successive actions to disrupt the turn order of enemies. It also features a large world map where each member of the party has a unique Gadget that can help them overcome obstacles when exploring.
blood penny is a dark gothic RPG that takes place during the 1920s during the Roaring Twenties period and follows a man named Matthew Farrell, a private detective in New York who works for the Bureau of Investigation.
An incident leads him to investigate an insane asylum but he finds it full of monsters. Using transformation abilities that he inherited from his father, he knocks them down. The story will take Matthew around the world through Asia and Europe. The game is also turn-based, but with some reaction time elements.
Both Kickstarter campaigns will share a “combined meter” that affects the stretch goals of both games. Committing to one game will also contribute to the ambitious goals of the other. Reaching the full funding goal will confirm the release of both games on PC. Other stretch goals will be portability of games to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the latest Nintendo hardware at launch. No release window has yet been revealed for either game, should the campaign reach its goal.
The Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes campaign was the most recent high-profile Japanese Kickstarter campaign, in which the game was heralded as a successor to Suikoden. The campaign also stated that it would release on whatever Nintendo system was relevant at the time of its release, but a Switch version was recently confirmed this year.
